As a gardener, did you know that a variety of vegetables and greens thrive in cooler weather?

Swiss chard, kale, herbs, especially parsley, and root vegetables can last through cooler weather.

If leafy greens are in a sheltered area, they will last through to the first heavy frost.

Some root vegetables are even sweeter when they are harvested later in the season.
